LATEST ADDITIONS TO WEBSITE We have just added the following tours to the website and all are now available for booking: 27th Feb: TOKYO MARATHON 20th Mar: NEW YORK HALF MARATHON 17th Apr: MADRID MARATHON 28th May: STOCKHOLM MARATHON 25th Jun: BIG FIVE MARATHON ING NEW YORK CITY MARATHON - Nov 7th We have just been informed by New York Road Runners that the closing date for New York Marathon entries has been extended to September 8th. We now have only 25 places from our allocation of 800 for the New York Marathon left and you need to act quickly if you are keen to run the world's leading marathon this year. RUN NEW YORK FOR CHARITY Once our 25 places are gone, they are gone. However, some of the UK's leading charities are holding space with us for New York so why not visit Cancer Research UK, Marie Curie, British Heart Foundation,and The Children's Trust and run New York for a great cause. SUNSHINE HOLIDAYS! Missed out on Summer - you can still escape this dismal weather on our Algarve late-Summer training week (from Sept 19) - Chicago Marathon winner, 2:08 marathon runner, Olympic finalist and all-around nice guy, Paul Evans is already excited about looking after you. This is a week for all abilities; very relaxed, infact strangely relaxing despite the running, which you can dip into to suit your needs. Our new fitness venture with Fit for a Princess is now up and running - as we have used the venue at the 5-star Coral Beach Hotel for 6 years now we can say with absolute confidence that the Cyprus Boot Camp will be superb - great activity lead by Janey from Fit For a Princess, followed by relaxing afternoons in the late summer sun and excellent food and drink - the camp runs from October 16th and is not to be missed. CYPRUS 4-DAY CHALLENGE - Nov 25th to 28th In the same vein, the Cyprus 4-day Challenge will have temperatures almost guaranteed to be around 22C is a fab holiday to boot. The Race HQ is the 5-star Coral Beach Hotel, host hotel to Team GB for Olympic squad warm weather training, and a perfect place to relax between the daily races. BOSTON MARATHON The Boston Marathon is one of the toughest events to get into - usually runners have to get a qualifying time but we have 15 places given to us for non-qualifiers but only 2 remain. The race is on Monday 18th April 2011, and online entry for qualifiers will open in October - it is essential to register your entry early even if you are a qualifier. Qualifiers are welcome to book one of our trips once they have secured a place. GREAT WALL OF CHINA MARATHON - May 21st, 2011 One of the highlights of the adventure marathon year is the Great Wall of China Marathon (May 21) - which also has a half marathon, 10km and 5km option. It fits neatly the broad description of what an adventure marathon should be; tough but with scenery the blows your mind away. The Great Wall Marathon also ticks all the boxes as a superb exotic holiday destination and our two centre tour takes in both Beijing and a remote and mountainous section of the Wall - May temperatures around 28C in Beijing and 24C at the Wall also add to the holiday atmosphere. For full details visit the web page. WHAT'S HOT Venice (Oct 25) has closed for direct entries but we have space under the Travel Partner scheme for those booking a hotel package through us. Our bookings for the Florence Marathon (Nov 28) are 25% up on this time last year and we are expecting a record group for this excellent marathon and its historic setting, from Piazza Michelangelo, passing the Domo and across the Ponte Vecchio on the way. Entries for Athens, Berlin and Chicago are now closed. ADVENTURE & TRAIL RUNNING Our next adventure Marathon is the Cuban Trail Marathon on Feb 20, 2011. Now in its 5th year, this is a very special marathon experience - not only do you run on some of the trails criss-crossed by Castro and Guevara over 50 years ago to start the Revolution in the Sierra Meastra Mountains, you also have a unique opportunity to mix with the villagers who help us put on the event in this remote spot. Last year we introduced a schools run for the locals and it turned into a highlight. A great trail race and exceptional social experience. Closer to home - we have made a change to the route of the Rivington Trail Half Marathon now that a return track to White Coppice on the side of Angelzark Moor is now possible. Entries are up on last year and the race is 3 weeks later in the year so we expect a record entry for this beautiful run. Coming up in October we have the next two Salomon Turbo X runs - join us in Mugdock Forest (nr Glasgow) on October 20th or in Sheffield on October 17th - not forgetting the series finale at Bordon on November 22nd. 10 miles of mud hills and torture - not to be missed - visit the Salomon website for information.
