NEW DATE FOR THE NEW YORK HALF MARATHON
We are pleased to be appointed as an Official Travel Partner to the prestigious New York City Half Marathon (PLEASE NOTE THE DATE HAS CHANGED FROM AUGUST TO MARCH TO GET MORE FAVOURABLE TEMPERATURES)
The Half Marathon is run entirely within Manhattan, starting in Central Park close to the New York Road Runners HQ on the Upper Eastside, then looping through the park and emerging on 7th Avenue with a run through the City skyscrapers, through Times Square and along 42nd Street to the Hudson River and then heading downtown to finish at Battery Park on the southern tip of the Island.
All race entries will be guaranteed for this sell out event for British residents travelling on one of our packages.

Thu 18 Mar London Heathrow to Newark on Virgin flight VS1 1600/2015. Transfer to Westin Hotel - approx 25mins.
Fri 19 Mar London Heathrow to Newark on Virgin flight VS1 1600/2015. Transfer to Westin Hotel - approx 25mins.
Sun 21 Mar Transfer to the race start for clients at the Westin Hotel. Return will be by Path Train (not included) from the World Trade Centre (approx 20mins)
Mon 22 Mar Transfer to Newark Airport for those at the Westin Hotel for the Virgin Flight VS2 2125/0905 (next day).

WESTIN HOTEL NEWPORT JERSEY CITY****Jersey City, NJ
We used Westin Hotel for the New York Half Marathon and the full Marathon in 2009 with great success. It is that this brand new 4-star hotel gives good value for money far exceeding what is possible in Manhattan yet has really easy access into Manhattan.
The Path train willl take you from outside the hotel to Greenwich Village in one stop and just 5mins, to the World Trade Centre/Wall Street or 34th Street near Macys in 15mins, and onto the entire Subway system making the entire city accessable very quickly. The cost on the Path Train is $2 per journey or you can buy a season ticket for unlimited journeys to and from Manhattan.The trains run 24hrs a day so you can enjoy a night in the city or a Broadway Show and return to the hotel easily.
Greenwich Village is the first stop on the PATH Train (Christopher Street Station) where there are endless restaurants, bars and clubs along Bleaker Street(including our favourite Blues venue - Terra Blues) and the trendy shopping at the end of Bleaker Street on West and Lower Broadway in Soho.
Most rooms have views across the Hudson River to the fantastic Manhattan skyline and the rooms all have bathrooms en suite, hairdryers, air conditioning, colour TV and wi fi. There is a magnificent Broadwalk along the Hudson River with a wide range of restaurants and is great for running. Nearby there are further restaurants and shops in Hoboken, a preserved area of Jersey City with classic 'brown stone buildings' along a pleasant high street while there is a modern Shopping Mall just behind the hotel.
