DETAILS OF THE EVENT PASSED
The Edinburgh Marathon became one of the worlds big marathons in 2009 and despite it being a very un-typical hot day for Scotland in May and some issues with water on the course the overwhelming feeling is that Edinburgh is set to become one of the 'must-do' events.
Now there is a Half marathon for those who think a marathon is a little too far at the moment - the route will start in the City centre and finish at Musselburgh Race Course and will use much of the marathon route setting off before the marathon so only one race will be on the course at any time.
Edinburgh, of course, is a great city with famous sights to visit, such as the castle and Arthurs Seat, as well as great shopping and night life.
We offer the options of a 2 or 3 night stay:
Two nights can be Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday.
Three nights are Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Our hotel, the Missoni, is located a few minutes walk from Waverley Station and the International Airport is 8 miles away with direct transport links to the centre.
We will have a member of 2:09 staff on hand to help you get to the race start and back to the hotel after the finish and generally make sure everything runs smoothly for you.

The restaurant refelects the Italian theme - Cucina serves seasonal Italian dishes such as Barolo & Castelmagno cheese risotto, sea bass baked with a salt crust and roast rabbit served with polenta & radicchio.
