24 OCT 2010: BEIJING MARATHON, HALF MARATHON & 10KM, CHINA
Beijing, quite rightly, is still basking in the success of the Olympic Games and now they have an International Marathon to continue the legacy. This is an opportunity to run in Beijing in the autumn without the heat and humidity that affected the summer games.
The race starts in Tian'anmen Square and finishes at the 'Birds Nest' in the Olympic Centre and covers the West City District, Haidian District and Chaoyang District on very good road surfaces for the entire journey through this historic city.
There are time limits of 5hrs in the full marathon and 2 ½hrs in the half marathon, there are also supporting 8km and 5km runs with time limits of 1hr and 25mins respectively.
This fabulous Tour includes the highlight of an 11km Hike on the Great Wall.
Why not train for Beijing on our Algarve summer camp.
