Where to begin? With the fantastic course record of Wilson Kipsang, who only missed the world record of his Kenyan compatriot Patrick Makau by four seconds with his time of 2:03:42 in 2011? Makau made his way to Frankfurt in 2012 but was unable to challenge his own record from Berlin but still clocked a remarkable 2.06 to win. The average winning time for the 10 fastest men in Frankfurt is 2.06.53
Or with the phenomenal entry total of more than 25,000 participants - this isn't just an elite marathon but also Germany's second largest with all levels or runner on a super flat route.
Whichever way you look at it - the oldest German city marathon is an outstanding event at international level as well as popularity with the ordinary runner.

Saturday, 26th of October 2012, 10am to 7pm
Sunday, 27th of October 2012, 7am to 9am
Sun 27 Oct: Marathon start at 10am - Race start/finish location and route map.
This evening Nick and Phoebe will play host for an option celebration dinner in a typical beer cellar - venue and cost to be confirmed.
Mon 28 Oct: Make your way back to Frankfurt Airport for your flight home (not included).
