DETAILS OF THE EVENT PASSED
Stockholm is one of the original European big city marathons. It has a scenic course through downtown Stockholm with a finish in the 1912 Olympic Stadium and is genuinely an international marathon, with 50 per cent of the runners are from countries outside of Sweden.
Stockholm is one of the most stunning capitals in the world. It is situated on 14 islands and laced by water so clean that you can swim and fish right in the heart of the city. In the early summer, the nights never get really dark. Because of it's scenic beauty it is ranked as the No 1 destination marathon in the world by "The Ultimate Guide to International Marathons".

Travel Itinerary
Thursday 3 June: Transfer by rapid rail (not included) to the our hotel, the Birger Jarli on bed and breakfast basis. This modern 4-star hotel is located in the heart of Stockholm with easy transport links and just 5 mins walk to the Olympic Stadium where the race starts and finishes.
Friday 4 June: Arrival day for 2 night package - flights as above. At leisure. Race registration and pasta party.
Saturday 5 June: Race start at 14.00 at the Olympic Stadium.
Sunday 6 June: Most of the day is at leisure to discover Stockholm. Return to Stockholm Airport by rapid rail.

Birger Jali Hotel****
This year we have a hotel located right in the heart of Stockholm and only 5 mins walk from the start and finish area of the marathon at the Olympic Stadium.
Named after the founder of Stockholm, the hotel has an unassuming exterior but inside it is carefully designed in a modern Swedish theme. All rooms have bathrooms en suite, colour tv and free broadband. The hotel has a breakfast room, lobby bar and a la carte restaurant, a sauna and a small gym. Breakfast included.
