18 APR 2011: BOSTON MARATHON, USA

Perhaps the most historic of all marathons, with the exception, of course, of the original one in Athens, but certainly the longest continuously-held marathon in modern history. We offer a 4-night tour with flights from Virgin Atlantic and staying in the centrally located Holiday Inn Boston at Beacon Hill, a comfortable 4-star hotel.

Usually there is a qualifying standard to enter the Boston Marathon, but we can offer guaranteed entry as overseas guests to non-qualifiers. 

Qualifying Times for Seeded Runners 

Qualified places are available until the 25,000 places are sold out online at Boston Marathon. We have 15 non-qualifier places available on first come basis.

Fri 15th April:  Depart on Virgin flight from London Heathrow Airport to Boston departing at 14.30 and arriving at 17.00. Transfer to the 4-star Holiday Inn Beacon Hill (on room only basis) located in the heart of Boston and close to Boston Common.

All rooms have bathrooms en suite, hair dryer, air conditioning, colour TV and in room safe. There is a restaurant and bar and you are just minutes away from an excllent selection of bars and restaurants, as well as great shopping, in the cobbled streets of Georgian Boston.  

Sat 16th April: At leisure. Time to  register at the expo.

Sun 17th April: At leisure.

Mon 18th April: Up early to take the buses from Boston Common to the race start at Hopkington.

Tue 19th April: Transfer to Boston Logan Airport for the return flight with Virgin Atlantic to London Heathrow departing at 19.45 and arriving at 07.15 next morning.

We will be staying at the 4-star Holiday Inn Beacon Hill, located right in the heart of Boston in the trendy Beacon Hill area and close to Boston Common. All rooms at the Beacon Hill have bathrooms ensuite, hairdryer, air conditioning, cable TV and wi fi.

The hotel has a restaurant and bar. Arrangements on room only basis.

We will be joining Sports Travel Ireland at the Holiday Inn Beacon Hill.

All entries are subject to taking a travel package.

Prices include the current taxes and fuel charges - we reserve the right to increase prices due to increases in government imposed taxes or airline imposed fuel surcharges.
