Salomon are pleased to be part of the Keswick Mountain Festival for the second time with this very scenic 10km Trail Run around Cat Bells and along the lakeside that gained rave reviews on the Runner's World website.

The event will be based out of the Newlands Adventure centre approx 3 miles from Keswick and will take a route along the side of Cat Bells before going over the ridge and dropping down to the Lakeside path. The views across the lake are breathtaking and well worth the effort of the climb.

The event is intended to be a great introduction to trail running for those who have until now run mostly on the roads, while at the same time satisfying regurlar trail runners or fell runners. The run isn't a full-on fell race and all the running is on well marked trails. The climb over the ridge at Cat Bells is demanding and the descent to the lake takes some care but you do not need to have masses of off-road experience to manage it.

You can also make a weekend of it and join the Salomon sponsored team athletes on a Trail Running & Training weekend based at the Newlands Adventure Centre.

Race entry fee: £14 (or £17 on the day subject to space available)

You may roll your entry over to another 2:09 Events race subject to space availability and paying any difference in entry fee. Roll over places must be requested in writing or by email at least 48hrs before the event - changes after this will count as no-show and we will be unable to change your entry.
