The Winterfitness week has been put together for us by Dennis Schnieder, the manager of the Bunda, who has a great understanding of the needs of our guests and their ability levels. He will arrange for the equipment fitting at the adjacent Bunda Sport and be on hand to introduce the group to the local guides and tutors.
The Bunda is located on the nursery slopes in Davos and adjacent to the venue for the last world cross country skiing championships - the perfect location for our new programme:
Sunday 17 Jan: Morning flights with Swiss Airlines from London Heathrow to Zurich and transfer to Swiss Rail. Arrival in Davos by Rail, settle in and welcome drink (aperitif) before your 4-course dinner.
Monday 18 Jan:
morning - Introduction to Nordic Cruising. The Nordic Crusing ski is a bit broader and shorter than the usual cross-country ski (2hrs). So it perfectly meets the requirements of Nordic Walking fans who want to improve their fitness in winter as well.
afternoon: Cross country skiing classic technique course an introduction for beginners and advanced skiers (2hrs).
Tuesday 19 Jan:
morning: Cross-country ski - classic technique course (2 hours) - Introduction for beginners or tour through Dischma valley for advanced walkers
afternoon: Nordic Walking tour to Glaris (2-2½ hours)
Wednesday 20 Jan:
morning - Cross-country ski - skating technique course (2 hours) - Introduction for beginners or technique improvement for advanced walkers
afternoon: Cross country skiing.
Thursday 21st Jan:
all day - Excursion to Sertig valley on cross-country skis or Nordic Cruising skis
Friday 22nd Jan:
morning - Cross-country ski - skating technique course
afternoon: Snow show tour (2-2½ hours)
Saturday 23 Jan:
morning - Cross-country ski - 2hrs
afternoon: Cross-country ski - 2hrs
Sunday 24 Jan: Departure by rail after breakfast.

Getting to Davos
We include return rail tickets from Zurich Airport to Davos Dorf (3hrs). The Hotel Bunda is a 2 min walk from Dorf Station.
Flights from other regional airports can be quoted.
We return to the excellent family run Hotel Bunda for our second Winter Fitness and Nordic Ski week - this is the hotel where our Alpine Marathon groups have been summer guests for the last 23 years and now for the third year the winter fitness group.

The hotel is in two buildings, the original chalet building which houses the restaurant an a selection of rooms, some with balconies over the front deck. The second part is the modern annex located right next door which has very modern rooms, again some with balconies. All rooms have bathrooms en suite, hairdryer, colour TV and mini bar. There is a drying room and wi fi available in the lobby.
