This is the ninth running of the Leatherhead Rotary Trail 10K, run for the forth time in early May to capture the delights of the Bluebell carpeted woodland on Headley Heath near Leatherhead, Surrey, an area of ourstanding beauty managed by the National Trust.
It route weaves in and out of the pathways through the heathland, returning to the start area a couple of times making it great for spectators.
The course is undulating (with one hill on each lap) featuring pleasant open heathland as well as narrow woodland paths. There are spectacular views, and, of course, at this time of year the carpet of bluebells.
As in previous years all profits made by Leatherhead Rotary will be donated to their designated charity and for 2016 it is Alzheimer' Society.
