For 2020 the camps will be offered over two weeks so that we can have more participants and also to provide flexibility around dates for those planning a Spring Half Marathon:
Week 1: Saturday 14th March to Saturday 21st March
Week 2: Saturday 21st March to Saturday 28th March (an extension to Sunday 29th March is possible).
The training is conducted by an enviable list of experts, including 2:09 Events director, London Marathon winner Mike Gratton, supported by Mara Yamauchi, the UK's second fastest female marathon runner with 2.23, 2nd placed in London 2012 and 6th in the Beijing Olympics, who will be the lead coach, plus Jenny Spink, trained PT, coach and a 2.34 marathon runner, when winning the Manchester Marathon in 2019 and a current GB International. Our team is strengthed with experts in core stability, yoga for runners and Pilates.Â
INCLUDED IN EACH 7-DAY PERIOD
There are no hidden etras. Whilst the Massage service is included, it is aimed at rehabilitation of runners with an injury problem, rather than being a regular relaxation massage.Â
RESORT
We return to the modern 4-star Victoria Sport & Beach Hotel, located right next to the sports facilities and close to the popular Falesia village area, with it's restaurants, bars and supermarkets. All rooms at the Victoria Sports & Beach Hotel have a kitchenette and are either 1-bedroom apartments for up to 3 people or 2-bedroom apartments for up to 5 people. Arrangements are on a bed & breakfast basis.
There is an outdoor leisure pool, indoor sports facilities with weights room, 2km roped cross country circuit and a 400m all-weather track. With some excellent off-road trails in and around the area and a beach less than a kilometre from the hotel door, the facilities are perfect for a running camp.Â
TWIN TO SHARE
If you are travelling on your own we can try to pair you up with another runner of the same gender in a 1-bedroom apartment. This option may not be available for late bookings, that is less than 6 weeks before the camp.
INCLUDED CAR HIRE
We include a Type B car (4-door Corsa or similar) per 2 people sharing an apartment. Bookings with more than 2 people will be booked a larger car. Single travellers requiring sole use of a car will need to pay the single occupant supplement. Drivers must be 23 years of age or older.
If you do not require car hire we will arrange transfers by minibus to and from Faro Airport.
CAMP FEE
The training camp fee is now included in the overall package cost of the camp.
FLIGHTSÂ
There have been many changes in the way people purchase flights and there are lots of regional options when it comes to flying into the Algarves commercial airport at FARO.
We have changed our price structures so that we no longer include the flights in the package, so you can take advantage of the cheap flights offered by EasyJet, Ryanair, TUI and Jet2 as well as scheduled flights with BA.

Typical Weekly Programme
Week 1:
Sat: Arrivals. 5pm Steady run of approx 5miles on the cliffs. Time to settle in this evening.
Sun: Morning Run of up to 5miles. Training tutorials with the coaches during the morning. 3pm Yoga or core stability work. 4pm warm up, running drills, short sprints, split into groups for track or tempo work, warm down. Dinner and social evening included tonight.
Mon: Morning Run of up to 5miles. Training tutorials with the coaches during the morning. 3pm Pilates or core stability work. 4pm split into ability groups for quality session on track or cross country course. Seminar.
Tue: Falesia 5km Race. Steady afternoon run. Seminar.
Wed: Morning Run of up to 5miles. Individual time with the coaches during the day. 3pm Yoga or core stability work. 4pm split into groups for quality training on the track or cross country course. Seminar.
Thu: Long Run day - on a marked-out circuit in Vilamoura. Strength and stretch session.Â
Fri:  Morning run up to 5 miles. 4pm Tempo session and fun relays to finish. Prize giving and final social event after.
Sat: Morning run up to 8 miles. Departures. 5pm easy run.
Weeks 2:
Sat: Arrivals. 5pm Easy Run.

Sat: Falesia Victoria 10km Road Race. If wanting to run the 10km book flights home in the afternoon/evening or book for an additional night and return home on Sunday.Â
