Paphos and Akamas Forest World Heritage site are beautiful locations for the annual Leptos Cyprus 4-Day Challenge - an excellent mixture of traditional road running and spectacular trail running, which is widely regarded as one of the toughest and best organised multi-stage challenges around.

Late November is a fantastic time to travel to Cyprus, with temperatures generally around 22C while Northern Europe starts to feel Winter setting in.

The races offer a fantastic variety:

  • 6K Individual Time Trial on Thursday evening. It's a relatively short distance and a flat road course, but it is hard to judge the pace correctly when you set off every 10sec gaps in random order. (This race may be shortened to a 5K for 2026 depending on the available course options.)
  • 11K Hill race a slightly different start to the traditional beach-side, a relatively flat first kiilometre then straight up hill to the pretty church at the top of the hill at Pano Arodes.
  • Akamas Mixed-Terrain Half-Marathon on Saturday, which must be the one of most stunning half marathons in the world. It starts in the little village of Neo Chorio and after the first couple of kilomtres on the road, climbs up through Akamas Forest before picking up a tarmac route at 8K which gnently rises over the next 4K before circling back on roads back to the same village, where busese will be waiting to take you back to the hotel.
  • Paphos 10K road race on Sunday - the grand finale starts from the ancient harbour castle at Kato Paphos and finishes in a buzz of excitement with music, finishers medals, breakfast snacks and beer. Those who don't feel up to the entire 4-day Challenge can enter the Paphos 10K as an individual race.

The traditional Sunday night celebration dinner and prize giving has been replaced with a cocktail and awards evening, which is available at a separate fee of £38.

Note: Our packages include all airport and race day transportation for runners and supporters - these are extras that you have to pay for individually if are entering directly.
