Himalayan Run & Trek “Himalayan 100 Mile Stage Race” has time and again been described as the most spectacular running course in the world! During the race, views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga (4 out of 5 of the world’s highest peaks) are visible to runners. Regardless of your level of ability – whether a 10K specialist, marathoner, or ultramarathon runner – you can run at your own pace. There are no age limits or stage cutoff times and the support teams will be available until you have finished. Five daily stages of 24, 20, 26, 13, 17 miles are designed to create a tough challenge but don't be put off by those distances, this is a challenge that is accesible and achievable to all. Alternating running and walking, you can easily take in mountain views, catch a glimpse of National Park wildlife and chat with villagers at fully stocked aid stations every few miles along the route. This event was first held in 1991 and pandemic aside, it's been attracting runners from around the world every year since.
Your accommodation on the trip can be categorised into 3 seperate entities: hotels, sherpa huts and mountain lodges. The hotels in Delhi are 4-star western standard, the sherpa huts and mountain lodges are comfortable but basic and in some cases you will be using sleeping bags but remember that you running in a remote mountain area that is sparsely populated.

Arrival in Delhi and meet your transfer check in for your ovenight stay in a 4-star hotel in India's captial
Friday November 8 – MIRIK
Breakfast at the hotel, then take a return transfer back to Delhi airport for the domestic flight from Delhi to Bagdogra, the access airport to the Indian Himalyas. Transfer from Bagdogra airport to Mirik resort, located near Darjeeling.
All meals included until the return flight to Delhi.
Overnight at Mirik Lake Resort.
Saturday November 9– MIRIK
Day trip to Darjeeling. Visit Himalayan museum and market. Ride famous Toy Train.

Sunday November 10, 2024 – SANDAKPHU
Himalayan 100 Mile Stage Race starts at Maneybhanjang (6600 ft). Aid station and jeep support for 24 miles until the route finishes at 11815 ft in Sandakphy. Non-runners walk 10 miles and take the jeeps for the rest of Himalayan trail experience distance.
Overnight in mountain huts at Sandakphu.
Monday November 11, 2024 – SANDAKPHU (11815 ft)
Views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, & Kanchenjunga appear above the clouds today. Today's run is a 20-mile out-and-back route to Molle. Non-runners have the option of 5 miles walk.
Overnight in mountain huts at Sandakphu.
Tuesday November 12 – RIMBIK (6350 ft)
Everest Challenge Marathon – Views of peaks and jungle are the highlight of today as you leave the higher mountains for the more tropical surrounds of Rimbik more than 5000 ft below yesterday's heights. Route:Sandakphu- Phalut-Molle-Rimbik. 26.4 miles. Non-runners have the option to walk 10 miles.
Overnight at the Sherpa & Tenzing Lodge, Rimbik.
Wednesday November 13 – PALMAJUA (6560 ft)
Follow rural road up and down for 13 miles to Palmajua. The return back to Rimbik is by bus, non-runners can visit local monasteries and villages.

Thursday November 14 – MIRIK (5500 ft)
Rural scenic road continues for 17 miles to the finish. Bus drive back to Mirik Resort for the awards dinner and medal presentation. Non-runners have the option to walk for 5-10 miles.

Friday November 15 – DELHI
Transfer to Bagdogra Airport and your return flight to Delhi. Transfer to hotel in Delhi in preparation for your return flight home

Return flights between Delhi and Bagdogra and shared accommodation Mirik Lake Resort, including mountain huts at Sandakphu and lodges at Rimbik on a full board basis.
