The New York City Marathon is big, brash and loud, a shock to your system and your senses, just like the city which hosts it. It's a race you will never forget: the mass start over the two-mile expanse of the Verazzano Narrows Bridge is stunning, the point-to-point route through the five boroughs is like a little cultural tour through New York and it all culminates on the rolling hills of Central Park for an iconic finish. Every runner should experience this event at least once in their lifetime…
Every runner should experience this event at least once in their lifetime. It's been a long two years since most of us have had the chance to run this marvellous marathon.
Like all the other Marathon Majors, New York fell victim to the COVID pandemic in 2020 and was cancelled. The 2021 event went ahead with a reduced field but without most international runners as the US goverment lifted its travel ban on European travelers the day after the race took place.Â
We have been desperate to return to the city and the race. Judging by your e-mails and phone calls, so have many of you. We are delighted to be part of the event's international travel programme once again for 2022. However, it will be a smaller trip than usual. As in 2021 the size of the 2022 race will be limited and as a consequence so will the number of places available to international travel operators like ourselves. With a large number of our available places taken by runners who deferred from 2020, we have only a limited number of new places.
The pacakges are strictly limited and are only available as either full package or hotel and entry pacakges. We no longer have any Flight incusive pacakges available, we now only have hotel and entry packages.Â
YOUR GUARANTEED RACE ENTRY
2:09 Events is an official International Tour Operator (ITO) of the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon® and have an allocation of guaranteed race entries - these are available to runners taking a travel package with us. We are not permitted to sell entry only.Â
Your race entry fee includes the following:
There is strictly no entry only available through the International Tour Operator scheme.
TRANSPORTATIONÂ TO THE START
We have previoulsy used the Midtown Ferry, which is the quickest way to the start and also means you can leave the hotel much later than other start transport options. That is a considerable advantage on New York's point-to-point course. If you have to use the buses or the Staten Island ferry you can be dropped at the start three or four hours before you are due to run. On the Midtown Ferry, you can cut that wait time to closer to an hour. We'll provide a private transfer direct from the Warwick Hotel to the ferry. This is only available to people who have booked the Warwick Hotel through 2:09 Events.
PARTNERS, FAMILY & FRIENDS
If you are travelling with non-runners you need not worry about them on race day. They are invited to walk down with us to our spectator spot on First Avenue between the 16 and 17-mile points. We walk as a group from our hotel and we generally have 20-30 people in the group. From First Avenue, it's a short walk up to Central Park where your supporters can see you come through at 25 miles near Central Park Zoo.Â

WARWICK HOTEL ****Superior
We are delighted to be using the Warwick Hotel once again as our base in New York for the period of the marathon. The Warwick is a landmark building built by the billionaire publisher William Randolph Hearst and remains one of New York's best, 4-star Superior properties. Rated as 5-star on many hotel scoring sites, it lies just 1/4 mile from Central Park and is an ideal base for our New York Marathon tour.
Over the years the hotel has welcomed many celebrity guests, including the Beatles, who stayed there and hosted the first press conference for their historic Shea Stadium concert at the Warwick.
All of our hotel based clients will be staying at the Warwick along with the 2:09 Events staff. This affords us shorter airport transfer times, we can stagger the bus departures to the start to suit different start waves and we can also offer VIP upgrades to deluxe corner rooms and suites.
Located in the Midtown West neighbourhood in New York City, 1,000 feet from the Museum of Modern Art, the Warwick New York features air-conditioned generously proportioned rooms with luxury bathrooms en suite. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar, Randolph's, which is luxuriously appointed with leather sofas, as well as the hotel restaurant serving an a la carte menu and an excellent breakfast buffet.  Breakfast can be purchased for a supplement of £25 per day including tax if pre-purchased.
A flat-screen TV and DVD player, as well as an iPod docking station are available in all rooms as well as free in-room WIFI. Every
includes a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find free toiletries and a hairdryer and for post-marathon, a bathtub. A small minority of rooms have only a shower, rather than a bath/shower combination. Please state a preference at the time of booking if you have one. There is a 24-hour front desk at the property.
Radio City Music Hall is 1,000 feet from the Warwick New York, and St Patrick's Cathedral is 1,300 feet from the property. Fifth Avenue and 57th Street shopping just a few minutes walk away.
Address: Warwick Hotel, 65 West 54th Street (on Sixth Avenue).
